Hybrid Wood
Should I buy 2-hybrid or fairway wood?
I hit 200 meters from my 3 iron. Driver is inconsistent. 2-hybrid off the tee and support the Wood Street one block (eg 3 or 5)? I hit the ball high, you can hit the ball hard, has a fast swing, handicap 17. You want to play smarter and safer. You want my shots averaged about 220 ~ 230, to establish my 2nd ball clubs in my 4-iron. Suggestions? ps. Have a 3 old now Wood Wood (graphite shaft) and can reach 1 to 10 good shots. Ditch the club?
Hybrids May be preferable to have a tree over short and flat face (depending on which brand to buy Taylormade is one example of companies blur the lines between a FW and a hybrid). What would be lost in the distance (10 meters) that you are compensated accurately. Note that 2 hybrid is between 18-20 degrees, so it would be more like a 5 wood. You must always update 3 of wood, especially if you have any problems with it. The heads are larger and more tolerant, and make a great backup pilot for days where the driver does not want to do what you say. Either FW or a work shirt hybrid and the hybrid will probably be better for the rough.
